Art Deco/Art Moderne
A warm, sandy beige was a popular choice on walls in the 1930s interior. It was also a useful trim or stucco color for the bungalow or Tudor revival house. The severe dust storms of the 1930s had a widespread negative impact on the agricultural stability of the United States. The giant dust clouds that blew from the great plains eastward to Washington, DC, and New York were called Black Blizzards.
