Product Stewardship

As members of the Green Building Council, California Products Corporation proudly accepts their role as active global citizens and environmental stewards. California Products continuously strives to minimize environmental impact throughout every stage of the manufacturing and application process – from proper project planning, to the very end of the product life cycle.

Encouraging proper recycling and disposal

If you do have any California Paints left over after you have finished your projects, there are many ways you can creatively use the paint so it does add to local landfills.

Use it for another project - Left over paint is always great for small craft projects like painting birdhouses, flower pots, etc. For craft inspirations, visit our :  Inspiration page.

Mix it up - Blend multiple colors of left over paint and you will usually end up with a neutral that can be used to paint and protect low visibility areas, like basement shelves or sheds.

Donate - Call around and see if any youth groups, schools or small local organizations are in need of paint.

Recycle - Check your local municipality for paint recycling centers near you.

Earth 911 (www.Earth911.org), the nation's portal for local environmental information, in conjunction with the National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA) and the Product Stewardship Institute Inc. (PSI), is the place to find leftover paint Reuse and Recycling Locations
