The color purple

Purple is regal. As a mix of warm colors (red) and cool colors (blue) purple has qualities of both of these colors, depending on the shade. Purple can be thought of as precious and delicate when found in nature as the lilac and violet. Purple can be dramatic as found in deep jewel tones and costumes associated with royalty. Culturally purple is as associated with mysticism, spirituality and royalty. When decorating with purple, it is important to keep the shade in mind. Decorating with lighter shades of purple, like lavender, can create an poem, airy feel and is a great way to add a touch of whimsy to a child’s room, while deeper hues of purple could be used to add a touch of luxury and mysteriousness.
