In response to what many consumers were looking for, the colors of the Perfect Palette are displayed in a highly organized way. The colors are first broken down into categories: the Core palette, Classics, Accents and Whites. Next, the colors are arranged by shade. Every color strip shows a color that is an exact mathematical let-down of the color above it. This arrangement is well suited to the most popular kind of consumer – the one who has an idea of what color she wants to paint, but hasn’t decided on an exact shade yet. This arrangement also solves the frustration that a consumer feels when trying to find a shade that is touch lighter or darker on a competitor strip, where the same type of color is arbitrarily grouped based solely on attractiveness. For the consumer that has no idea what color they want, there is help at hand in the Perfect Palette. Each color chip is coded with symbols that show important paint-pertinent information, like “I” for Interior Use Only” and “L” for “Low Hide”. These tools combined with the most complete color selection offered in the industry, will help guide any even the most indecisive consumer in selecting their Perfect color. All the take-home chips are also individually UPC coded, giving the equipped dealer the ability to easily scan the color instead of searching for the formulation.
